DAY TRIP TO NYC Ü

we went to NYC to see MARYY POPPINS on broadway may 5th. we had a great day.weather was perfect. just wish i knew my way around there tho.

finished bag Ü

i finally finished this bag that a few of us were doing for our crochet meeting at our local library, and thats a good thing because its going to be used fot the display window there. i have one other i need to complete.

i think it really came out nice, i thought it was going to be bigger though.

oh well...lol.

the inside linning is hand sewn in. i used the inside of an old tote bag i was getting rid of. i cut out the insde and trimed it sewd it up to the right size and sewd it in, see the zipper? lol

this is a mouse i just made. isn't she cute? i call her "maddie mouse"




here is the first update of my tablecloth, this is up to rnd 53, there will be a total of about 80 rnds, so this is almost done. i' reall yecited about completing it. i never in a million yrs thought i'd do a project this big.

this is the smallest bear i've made. also the last one i've completed. i am crocheting a tablecloth as a list project (every week they send more rounds) and i am sooooooooooo behind so i figured i wouldnt do anything else until i get caught up. so i havent done much else lately. also, my 14 yo son is in his HS drama club. they did "the wiz" i was there all last week to help out. the play was this past weekend. fri WAS surposed to be opening night but since we has a snow and ice storm it was canceled, so the kids did 2 shows ea sat. and sun.grrrrrrrr! dang weather! any, all went well but i havent gotten any crocheting done at all.

the play however, was worth everything. congratulations NHS dramaclub! here's pic of him as a "monkey".also as "uncle henry".

ok, alot to tell you about here....lol here are a few dishcloth i've been making. these are just a few of about 7 ive made. i love using them. they work so well. no more sponges for me....lol


ok here is my bear family i've made. they are very small. the next one i made i will use something to show their size

this is a non jointed bear, isnt he sweet, i dont have a name for him yet.

this is a jointed bear i've called moca latte, oh and he is on a valentine candle doily i made.

this is the last one i made. i think he is the best and the smallest ive made. her name is pinkie petra....lol

its done...yaaaaahoooooooo! 6mos ago i started this...whew! i made it in memory of my parents. both are gone, at way to young an age. they loved their yellow roses. when i saw this doily named "rose delight" i knew i had to make it for them.....i know they would've loved it. Ü it is so worth the time it took to make. man, that upload took hrs. can't they make this stuff easier? this is one i made for valentinesday.came out nice, it';s small made to put a candle on it in the center. ok i might have one more to post. this one didnt take to long....lol. >

<.......this one is called "diamonds n lace" didnt take long to do this one either.. i did it in a color called parakeet, it's like a teal blue.

here is one i am so excited about. i started it in aug, but met a hump starting the beige color.i took it with me to my crochet meeting at the library. and the leader was very helpful to me. yay!thanks lene

ok here are interesting projects....lol the bag is a pocketbook i'm making with a crochet pal at my library meetings, yay! its almost done. we but it on the back burner while we did some snowflakes.

the last one was a doily from gt. but i saw crowns so i used a gold threat to highlight them and the center.

this white one over there to the right...lol was called a leaf doliy, i didnt see leafs, i saw dutch girls and if you notivce i made some of em guys.

this one is real small. much smaller then i thought it was going to be. very cut tho. looks antiquey...lol is that a word, if not i guess its a new debbism...lmao! the burgandy one came out really nice.

i knew i havent posted in awhile...... anyway, i think there is alot i want to add here...lol. i do want to talk about my "neice" here a sec. her name is jasmine, she just turned 12yo in dec. i taught her to crochet. but she wasnt to into making scarfs and afgans and things. but when she saw the "critter" patterns she really took off. she now can take one of my patterns and off she goes. i want to past a pic of a turtle she made, but she's made 2 monkies already and started a bunny tonight. she amazes me. right jazzy?

do i have stuff to add tonight. first, i recieved a new mag in the mail 2 days ago. what shouls i find in there, a coffee cozy thing, that i've been wanting to make, so i made it. lol . i also finished my very first bear ever. his name is petey panda, and his rug friend i made is ruggie ralphie......lol more to come
